'Black Swan' Takes Best Feature, Actress, Director & Cinematographer At Indie Spirit Awards

The second-to-last hurrah of the movie season took place this afternoon, with the Independent Spirit Awards, the looser neighbor to the big Oscar show tomorrow night. And while it’s unlikely “Black Swan” will repeat the feat on Sunday, Fox Searchlight must be very pleased to close off their year in such a winning a fashion.

The Darren Aronofsky film took home four awards including a statue for the director, Best Feature, Best Actress for Natalie Portman and Best Cinematographer for Matthew Libatique. The studio also scored a win for a film largely forgotten during the awards season — Aaron Schneider‘s “Get Low” — who took the Best First Feature. Also of note, “Winter’s Bone” took home two acting honors for John Hawkes and Dale Dickey in Best Supporting Male and Best Supporting Female respectively.

There will be parties and celebrations tonight and tomorrow it starts all over again at the Kodak Theater. Full list of winners below. [ThompsonOnHollywood]
