Michaela Watkins & Kathryn Hahn Join Paul Rudd Comedy ‘Wanderlust’

The cast for the currently shooting ensemble comedy “Wanderlust” keeps growing. The film, written by the “The State” duo of Ken Marino and David Wain and directed by the latter, already boasts a strong roster of talent with Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston, Lauren Ambrose, Justin Theroux, Malin Ackerman and Alan Alda. The film, which is being produced by comedy heavyweight Judd Apatow, “centers on a married couple (Aniston, Rudd) who try escaping modern society by moving from New York” to a commune headed by Alda’s character.

Saturday Night Live” one season wonder Michaela Watkins and up-and-comer Kathryn Hahn have joined the film with the former playing “the neurotic, high-strung sister-in-law of Rudd’s character” and the latter playing one of the commune members. Hahn seems to have made an impression on Rudd, recently playing opposite him in his other forthcoming comedy “My Idiot Brother.” She also has a part in the upcoming James L. Brooks film, again with Rudd, “How Do You Know.”

“Wanderlust” is currently filming and will hit theaters next fall.
