It may only have five Oscar nominations, but "The Theory Of Everything" has got ’em where it counts: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Score. It’s just missing the always tough to crack Best Director field, but those are the categories everyone wants to win, and this Sunday we’ll see what the results yield. Until then, here’s a chance to see what didn’t make the movie on the big screen.
Popsugar has an extended deleted scene, narrated by director James Marsh. It finds Stephen Hawking‘s ability to write diminishing and shows how his wife, Jane, stepped into the help him continue his work by writing for him. It’s another sequence which highlights the chemistry between the leading pair Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, which surely helped them land Academy Award recognition. After that is a featurette focusing on screenwriter Anthony McCarten‘s work on the film.
