Watch: First 2 Clips From 'Girls' Season 3, HBO Renews Show For 4th Season

Girls

This weekend, the third season of “Girls” kicks off with two brand new episodes, and while you’ll get our full recaps on Monday, we’ll just say this: Lena Dunham hasn’t missed a step. If you’ve been a fan of the show, you won’t be disappointed, but it seems some folks still can’t get their head around Dunham’s unapologetic depictions of nudity and sex.

Yesterday, during the Television Critics Association Q&A for the show, someone with pointedly told Dunham: “I don’t get the purpose of all the nudity – particularly by you.” That’s not really a question, and more of statement, and a pretty rude one at that. And honestly, heading into season three, you either understand what Dunham is presenting or you don’t or you end up revealing your own hangups about sexuality via crudely asked questions. In any event, producer Judd Apatow quickly came to Dunham’s defense, and later tweeted: “So three years into Girls a guy asks about nudity like it is episode one. That is like waiting three years to ask M Weiner about advertising.”

Anyway, Dunham has the last laugh as HBO has already ordered a fourth season, with filming to begin this summer and a 2015 air date scheduled. But before that comes season 3, and get you ready, here’s two clips from the back-to-back episodes, in which Adam endures the company of Shoshanna. Tune in for more this Sunday starting at 10 p.m.
