It feels like we’ve been writing about the Spike Jonze-directed Arcade Fire short film “Scenes From The Suburbs” forever now, but it looks like we’ll finally get to see it for ourselves right in the comfort of our home.

The film, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, and then hit SXSW where our Drew Taylor caught up with it and called it “heartbreaking and haunting,” will now land on your computer screen in a free, online bow on June 27th. Mubi will be streaming the movie, and you can also catch it on your PlayStation (if you feel like getting hacked) and if you feel so inclined, you can hit Facebook to ask the band some questions that they’ll answer on the big day.

Don’t feel like doing the whole streaming thing? Not to worry. “Scenes From The Suburbs” will also be available on DVD as part of the band’s deluxe edition of their hit album “The Suburbs” that will also include a behind-the-scenes documentary, a video for the title track and a pretty massive booklet with stills, behind-the-scenes photos, lyrics and more. That will hit stores on August 2nd but you can also pre-order it right now. As for the band, they’re in the midst of a victory lap tour following their Grammy win, so check the itinerary and see if they’re playing near you.
