Got a Tip?

‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ Wins Best Picture & Best Actor From Toronto Film Critics Association

Inside Llewyn Davis

Such is the awards season that just as you’re getting ready to wind things down on the west coast, or already in bed on the east coast, the honors keep coming. And the latest is from north of the border, with critics in Toronto weighing in on their faves of the year.

The Toronto Film Critics Association has dubbed the Coen Brothers‘ “Inside Llewyn Davis” as Best Picture of 2013, with Oscar Isaac taking Best Actor for the film as well. As for the rest of the categories? The love has been spread out. In fact, in the rest of the major categories an award went to a different film, with Toronto sharing the love this year in what is undoubtedly a very strong fall for movies. No major shocks either, with big Oscar contenders largely getting honored.
