This fall, prepare to get your mind blown, eyes dazzled and….bladder tested. "Interstellar" is coming, and the buzz is getting louder and louder, with each new detail being scrutinized… and here’s another!
The runtime has been revealed for Christopher Nolan‘s latest film, and it’s his longest yet: "Interstellar" will run 2 hours and 49 minutes. That said, it’s only five minutes longer than "The Dark Knight Rises," and the filmmaker knows how to keep things moving, so you likely won’t be looking at your watch.
And "Interstellar" will give you plenty to gawk at, with Nolan once again using IMAX cameras for key sequences. Just how much of the movie will be in the mega-sized format isn’t yet known, but the filmmaker’s preference for film over digital will see the famed TCL Chinese Theater IMAX in Hollywood swap out their digital projector, for one that will handle 70mm prints. And if you want the same experience, you’ll have track down the handful of IMAX theaters that still have the analog format, and we’re sure a list will emerge in advance of the film’s release.
So, just a couple more bits and bobs of intel to keep you sated for now. "Interstellar" arrives on November 7th. [Premiere/Slashfilm]
