Consider "Boyhood" firmly back in the frontrunner position. This weekend, three more critics groups revealed their award winners for 2014, and the talk of the town was Richard Linklater‘s little indie that could, which more than ever looks like it has a real shot at beating studio fare for the Oscar crown.
However, outside of Best Picture, consensus is harder to come by. While Patricia Arquette looks certain to land a Best Supporting Actress nod, Emma Stone for "Birdman" and Laura Dern for "Wild" also seem likely to join her in the category. Meanwhile, Marion Cotillard is picking up steam for Best Actress for her turn in "Two Days, One Night." And overall Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s film made its presence felt in a quite few categories with the critics here.
