Watch: 3 Deleted Scenes From 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' Spinoff Based On Furiosa Being Discussed

Mad Max: Fury RoadWhile Warner Bros. has yet to formally announce a follow-up to "Mad Max: Fury Road," we already know George Miller is good to go. The director revealed this spring that the sequel to ‘Fury Road’ was titled "Mad Max: The Wasteland," but outside of that, he shared few details. While it’s yet to be seen, the studio will indeed press on, according to Deadline, that a Furiosa-based movie is being discussed.

"Back to the summer films on the bubble: I spoke with several studio execs about it and they all said it comes down to deciphering what the audience wants," Mike Fleming said in a conversation about the potential life of this season’s blockbusters. "On those grounds, a ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ sequel or a spinoff focusing on Charlize Theron’s Furiosa character (which is being discussed) is inevitable if George Miller wants to make one. I hope Tom Hardy is game to come back as the title character and that Warner Bros. (or some other studio, since Miller owns most of these rights) allows him to fully exercise his mad genius in another picture."

It’s not certain if the Furiosa spinoff is ‘The Wasteland" or another idea from Miller, but given the actress’s tough time on the shoot of ‘Fury Road,’ it’ll be interesting to see a) if she comes back and b) if she’s willing to work with Hardy again, considering they clashed slightly on the set. File under: we’ll see.

Meanwhile, the Blu-ray is coming out soon and it seems the deleted scenes are already surfacing. You can watch three below; they’re slightly NSFW but they do mark some interesting, non-action oriented beats from the movie left on the cutting room floor.
