Last summer, Vince Vaughn showed off his "serious" acting chops, brooding through the second season of "True Detective." While the show didn’t live up to expectations, Vaughn was quite good, and now he’s got another project in which he will decline to yuk it up —though it must be said that this film doesn’t look so promising as well.

Co-starring Hailee Steinfeld, Bill Paxton, Jonathan Banks, Mike Epps, Jon Favreau, Jordi Molla, Shea Whigham, William Levy, Taraji P. Henson, Annabeth Gish, Terrence Howard and Cain Velasquez, "Term Life" follows a man with a price on his head who goes to great lengths to protect his daughter. Here’s the synopsis:
Everyone wants Nick (Vince Vaughn) dead. A desperate man, Nick takes out a life insurance policy on himself, payable to his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld). But the policy doesn’t take effect for 21 days and he might not live that long.
Directed by Peter Billingsley ("Couples Retreat"), "Term Life" will hit VOD on March 1st and open in limited release on April 8th. Watch below.
