Watch: Mark Wahlberg Faces Man Made Disaster In The First Trailer For Peter Berg’s ‘Deepwater Horizon’

Deepwater HorizonIt’ll be interesting to see if Lionsgate’s “Deepwater Horizon” goes the route of the spectacular drama like “In The Heart Of The Sea” and "The Walk,” and if it can actually engage audiences in a way those films couldn’t. Originally a project J.C. Chandor was going to direct, the filmmaker eventually walked due to creative differences, presumably meaning Chandor wanted a drama and the studio wanted something much more epic and explosive. And it seems like the latter is what they probably got by tapping Peter Berg, known for muscular action dramas like “Lone Survivor” and “Battleship.” And the new trailer basically bears that out.
