Watch: Trailer & New Image For Quentin Dupieux's Short Film 'Wrong Cops' Starring Marilyn Manson

nullWhile Cannes will be hosting all kinds of celebs this week as they walk down the red carpet, eat at restaurants where the final bill is our rent for the month and shop in the kind of fancy boutiques that we're not even allowed into, at least there will be the presence (cinematically, if not personally) of Quentin Dupieux and Marilyn Manson to shake things up. That's right, the shock rocker is the star of the French filmmaker's latest bonkers exursion "Wrong Cops" and a trailer has arrived. And yes, it's delightfully fucked up.

The story, such as it is, follows Duke (Mark Burnham), a crooked and music-mad cop, who patrols Los Angeles’ streets, when he comes across the young, techno-loving David Dolores Frank (an awesomely dorky Manson). Appalled by the musical tastes of the young adolescent, Duke decides to give him a good music lesson. That is basically the best logline we've read in forever. And it's probably a safe bet that Dupieux aka Mr. Oizo will be providing the techno beatz. The 13-minute short is actually just the first chapter in a full on 90-minute feature, but no word when or how the next two parts will be released. And no, it's not a sequel to "Wrong."

The short will premiere as part of the Directors' Fortnight lineup…can't make it? No need to get bummed as it will also land online on May 24th and you can check it at the official website. Watch below. [via The Film Stage]
