Seeing as “Labor Day” is already done with its cursory festival appearance and headed to theaters in December, Jason Reitman is already gearing up work on his next movie, “Men, Women, Children.” Judy Greer has joined the cast of Adam Sandler, Jennifer Garner, Rosemarie DeWitt and Cameron Diaz in the story of junior high age kids and their parents, living in the era of the interwebs. Greer, who is sorta teaming with Reitman after appearing in “Jeff Who Lives At Home“, which he produced, will play a mom who posts sultry photos of her daughter online. Ew. Production is aiming to get underway next month. [The Wrap]
Sigourney Weaver is once again flexing her sci-fi chops by joining Neill Blomkamp‘s next effort, the comedy “Chappie.” She joins an eclectic cast that features Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley, Hugh Jackman, Ninja and Yolandi Visser in the story about two gangsters who steal a robot with artificial intelligence for their own ends. No word yet on Weaver’s role but filming is already underway. [Variety]
So, remember when it was reported that Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz were both wanted for “Horrible Bosses 2“? Well, hooray for everything, as the pair will play a horrible father/son boss duo. Hilarious? We’ll see. [Deadline]
The leading man for Duncan Jones‘ videogame adaptation “War Of Warcraft” has been found—Travis Fimmel of TV series “Vikings.” There’s no offer yet but he’s the dude they want, and he’d join Colin Farrell and Paula Patton (if their deals work out) in the role playing….movie? [Variety]
Lastly, Sienna Miller is packing a suitcase and joining Vince Vaughn‘s “Business Trip.” The road trip comedy will find the wedding crasher playing an American business man on a Euro trip that does not go well, comedically. Miller will play a business woman whom he presumably crosses paths with. Production is underway. [Deadline]
