Got a Tip?

James Gray’s ‘The Lost City Of Z’ Starts Shooting, Marvel’s Spider-Man Tom Holland Joins The Cast

nullWhile comic book sites breathlessly reported recently that Tom Holland was spotted in Germany, presumably suiting up to play Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War," it looks like the actor will rack up a few more air miles.

Sierra/Affinity announced that production has started on James Gray‘s long-in-the-works "The Lost City Of Z." Holland joins the cast of Charlie Hunnam, Sienna Miller, and Robert Pattinson, in the film based on David Grann‘s best-selling book about Percy Fawcett, a conscripted soldier and born explorer who disappeared in the 1920s while searching for a mythical city in the Amazon jungles of Brazil that he believed he discovered on a prior expedition. Production just started in Belfast, where it will shoot for the next five weeks, before heading to Colombia, where the film will lens through September and October.

Basically, James Gray is going into the jungle for his next movie, and if that doesn’t get you excited, I don’t know what will. Paramount Pictures will release the film in the U.S., and maybe we’ll get a first look soon? With festival season heating up and everyone anxious to get their movies on the radar, fingers crossed.
