'Boyhood,' 'Grand Budapest Hotel' & 'True Detective' Big Winners At ACE Eddie Awards

Boyhood

We’re just a few weeks away from Hollywood’s biggest night with Oscars. The final batch of guild awards are getting handed out as prognosticators, gamblers, and cinephiles start to narrow down their final predictions about who will walk away with the big prizes at the Academy Awards. And the American Cinema Editors aren’t straying too far from the big awards season narratives.

Richard Linklater‘s "Boyhood" and Wes Anderson‘s "The Grand Budapest Hotel"  took the big feature awards in the Dramatic and Comedy categories, respectively. Again, not much of a shock here considering those two films, along with "Birdman," are in a three-way race at the Oscars. "The Lego Movie" — notably not nominated for an Oscar in the Animated Feature category — took the trophy here, while "Citizenfour" bagged the doc crown. Meanwhile in TV, "Sherlock" and "True Detective" took the coveted small screen awards.

The full list of winners. Sound off in the comments section if you feel the need.
