Martin ScorseseYou’ve studied for years, spent late nights banging out papers, probably stacked up serious debt, and you’re leaving school hoping to follow your dreams into an artistic career. It’s not an easy path, but this year, the graduating class of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts got an inspirational push as they went out into the world.

None other than Martin Scorsese delivered a half-hour commencement address at Tisch this past spring, and it’s terrific stuff. The director shares his own story of going to film school, the teachers who inspired him, and what keeps him energized to this day to make films.
