It is a proven scientific fact that, like bacon, Bill Murray makes everything better. Dude could show up at your laundromat on a Sunday afternoon and immediately your day will get better. And while we currently can’t pinpoint his whereabouts—where he’s undoubtedly improving his immediate surroundings—we can say that his travels probably find him on the way to Hawaii.
The Wrap reports that Murray is in talks to join Cameron Crowe‘s next still-untitled film. Featuring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Danny McBride, Alec Baldwin and Jay Baruchel, the wacky story follows a military contractor (Cooper) on a top secret military launch mission assignment in Hawaii who teams with an Air Force pilot (Stone) to kibosh the operation. No word yet on Murray’s role, which is being kept secret, but in a movie that also features a talking computer and “mystical island forces,” we’re sure he’ll fit right in.
Production has started on the movie, which is slated for release in 2014, and with roles in “Monuments Men,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “St. Vincent” on the way, it’s a pretty good time to be a Murray fan.
