An intellectual in crisis who has no problem finding women to pair up with? Sounds like a Woody Allen movie —he’s bringing his latest "Irrational Man" to the Cannes Film Festival. And this first clip features some familiar ingredients.
Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Parker Posey, Emma Stone and Jamie Blackley, the movie centers on Abe, a college professor who has hit rock bottom and gets entangled with two women: Rita, a lonely professor looking to escape her marriage, and Jill, a young student who becomes a good friend. In this scene, Rita makes it clear she wants to be there for Abe.
