Got a Tip?

Chloë Sevigny To Play Shelly The Nymphomaniac On ‘American Horror Story’ Because, Obviously

nullGlee” creator Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” is certainly more in the vein of his early FX hit “Nip/Tuck” in its absurdity-to-oddness ratio, acting as a horror soap opera that isn’t afraid to toy with both its characters and audience. In fact, the second season will see some of the original cast return, including Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, but will see them playing different characters than the ones they’ve become known for. Now, a new talent will also be joining, and apparently it will be a rather passionate entity.

EW has word that “Big Love” actress Chloë Sevigny is in final talks to join the second season, which will begin production this summer. If anyone knows Sevigny’s past on films like – oh, we don’t know – “The Brown Bunny,” you won’t be surprised to learn that the actress will play a character named Shelly the Nymphomaniac, who is a mortal enemy of Jessica Lange’s character, Constance. It seems Murphy is upping the provocativeness factor this season, not only with sensationally named characters, but by also enlisting Maroon 5 frontman and reality show host Adam Levine for a recurring role as well.

Murphy has revealed the new season will be set on an East Coast institution for the criminally insane run by Constance, and it will air on FX this fall.
