There are two schools of though on movie marketing when it comes to blockbusters: carpet bomb the fuck out of the advertising or play it close to the chest. 20th Century Fox tends to do the former, as campaigns for “X-Men: First Class” and “Prometheus” bear witness. But Christopher Nolan and co. take the latter approach, with each move carefully coordinated with the precision of a hit squad. So yes, this is not much more than a magazine cover, but it’s a new look at Zack Snyder‘s “Man Of Steel,” so we’ll take what we can get.
Henry Cavill and Adam Adams stand tall on the cover of Total Film and that’s about it. The magazine is keeping the goodies in regard to any interviews on lockdown for now, but we presume those morsels will hit soon enough. And that’s about it. The next few months should likely provide a better look at Michael Shannon‘s Zod, more with Clark’s parents Kevin Costner and Diane Lane, and probably endless will-this-lead-to”Justice-League” chatter, because that’s the way things go these days.
“Man Of Steel” arrives on June 14th.
