While "The Avengers" is going with all your favorite terrible bands from '90s on its lunk-headed soundtrack, at least the folks behind "Snow White And The Huntsman" are trying something a little bit different.
Word first surfaced just about a month ago that flame-haired siren Florence & The Machine would be contributing a brand new tune to the fairy tale epic. Well, the fruits of that labor have arrived online (until it inevitably gets yanked we suppose), with "Breath Of Life" ready to blast your ears. And you know what? It's not bad as far as these things go. There's no denying that Florence can belt the hell out of a tune, and it sounds cinematic in all the ways it should, and as far as movie music goes, it's a cut above. So job well done.
The "Snow White And The Huntsman" score will be released on May 29th and we presume this will be included. As for the movie, it gallops into theaters on June 1st. [via Stereogum]
