New Pics From 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Give A Glimpse Of The Action

nullBelieve it or not, we are almost one month away from the summer blockbuster season. If you are one of the many who are pumped up for the upcoming “Star Trek” sequel, perhaps these brand new images from the movie will only excite you even further. In the past month, we have seen a new teaser for the film as well as these images of Kirk, Spock, and Benedict Cumberbatch’s character John Harrison. This time we get a little more of Kirk and Spock, as well as Lieutenant Nyota Uhura (Zoe Saldana).

The images feature Spock, and then Nyota, brandishing a weapon, presumably pointing at a villain of some sort. That, of course, is all J.J. Abrams wants us to know at this point. He has done a great job so far of keeping all plot details on the down low, as he usually does so well. Meanwhile, Chris Pine joins Cumberbatch to grace the cover of French movie magazine Cinema Teaser, providing a bit more of a dramatic, atmospheric take on things. The photos may not be much to go by, but no worries, you won’t have to wait long for “Star Trek Into Darkness” to come to a theater near you. It opens May 17th. [Empire]nullnullnull
