New 'X-Men' Movie Will Reportedly Start Shooting In 2017

X-Men: ApocalypseThere’s going to be a lot of "X-Men: Apocalypse" chatter in the weeks ahead. The first trailer is set to debut in front of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," while Bryan Singer will continue to put the finishing touches on the picture with reshoots scheduled to take place over the winter. But could there be another "X-Men" movie already brewing?

According to a report in Journal de Montreal, the X-Men production team have booked production facilities in the city for November 2016 with plans to start shooting a new movie in 2017, for a possible release in summer 2018. The reports suggests Singer will be back to direct as well, but there’s little other information about which cast members would return.

Nothing is official at the moment, and it should be noted that Singer has already announced his next project, an adaptation of "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea." That said, he could presumably shoot next year, with Singer jumping back to the world of X-Men in 2017.

We’ll see how this news develops, but for now, check out James McAvoy describing a ridiculous deleted scene from "X-Men: First Class."
