Quentin Tarantino fans are going to have a very, very good holiday season. Not only is the director's latest film, "Django Unchained" (new trailer here), set to drop on Christmas Day, two of the director's landmark films will be headed back to theaters in what should be a nice cinematic appetizer.
"Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction" will get one-night-only screenings across the country on Tuesday, December 4th and Thursday, December 6th respectively at 7 PM, though some theaters will be offering matinee showings as well. The events will be part of the promotional drive for the upcoming "Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection," which streets on November 20th. Purporting to be a celebration of the director's twenty-year career, our peek into the contents reveals that it's largely a big missed opportunity, especially for QT diehards who will likely already have much of the material, and it still lacks a number of other items (the "Grindhouse" cut of "Death Proof," for example).
Anyway, in case you were wondering, both films will be screened digitally, preceded by trailers hand selected by Tarantino of movies that inspired him, which is pretty cool.
