Peter Bogdanovich is back, and he’s bringing a helluva ensemble with him. Owen Wilson, Imogen Poots, Jennifer Aniston, Kathryn Hahn, Tatum O’Neal, Rhys Ifans, Will Forte and Lucy Punch all appear in the director’s first feature in a decade, "She’s Funny That Way. With the screwball comedy set to unspool at the Venice Film Festival, the first two clips are here to provide a zany look at the upcoming film.
Set in the theatre world, the story follows a married Broadway producer (Wilson) who tries to convince a call-girl (Poots) to change her life. But that’s just one thread in this multi-stranded tale, where the characters ping pong against each other. This fact is clearly evident with these two clips, where mixups and tension comedically rise to the surface.
"She’s Funny That Way" doesn’t have distribution yet, but we’re sure with this cast, it won’t be too long until it does. Watch below.
