30 New Images Of Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake & Clint Eastwood In 'Trouble With The Curve'

nullOn the last day of the Republican National Convention, it's possible that that sound you heard was that of heart palpitations over at Warner Bros' marketing department. After seemingly retiring from acting after "Gran Torino," Clint Eastwood used a gap in his schedule caused by the delay to his remake of "A Star Is Born" to return to the front of the camera, starring in the directorial debut of long-time collaborator Robert Lorenz. And given his immense star power, the fact that he's never won a Best Actor Oscar, and the bait-y subject matter (Eastwood plays a veteran baseball coach leading his sight), many thought the performance, if not the film, could be one to watch in the awards race this time around.

And then came his RNC speech, a disastrous piece of Grumpy Old Man stand-up that instantly fell into legend, and which caused Eastwood to instantly be hung out to dry by Romney & co. Whether it hurts his chances at a gold statue remains to be seen (on the one hand, liberal Hollywood may be a little put off by his speech, even if it had been more lucid, on the other, we've heard the movie is a bit of a crowd-pleaser), but the film is sneaking up to release, and the Warner Bros website has unveiled 30, count 'em, new images from the film.

Featuring Eastwood and co-stars Amy Adams (who plays his daughter), Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and comeback kid Matthew Lillard, they're unlikely to be hanging on your walls any time soon, but we're sure Clint fans will be excited to see them. And anyone else can print them off, rearrange them, and turn them into a kind of flipbook of the movie. "Trouble With The Curve" opens in only ten days or so, on September 21st, 2012.null
