Steve Carell To Star In Feature Film Remake Of Acclaimed Documentary 'Marwencol'

Way back in 2013Robert Zemeckis was tapped to helm a feature film re-do of the acclaimed, Indie Spirit and SXSW award-winning documentary “Marwencol.” And then, like everyone else, we forgot it was happening. Well, the project is moving again, with a very big name attached.

From “The Office” to “Foxcatcher,” Oscar nominee Steve Carell will take the lead role in the movie. Caroline Thompson (“Edward Scissorhands”) penned the script that tells the true story of Mark Hogancamp, a man who worked through the loss of memory following a brutal assault by making tiny versions of himself, his friends, his family, and his attackers, and wound up capturing the attention of the New York art scene.
