Watch: 3 Clips From Asghar Farhadi's Cannes Competition Entry 'The Past' Starring Bérénice Bejo & Tahar Rahim

The Past, Asghar Farhadi, Bérénice Bejo,Listed among our most anticipated films of this year’s Cannes Film Festival is Asghar Farhadi’s “The Past.” The film is Farhadi’s follow-up to his 2011 Oscar-winning film “A Separation” and this time, he’s working in France with established French actors such as Bérénice Bejo (“The Artist”) and Tahar Rahim (“A Prophet”). Will he strike gold once again with this film? We’ll have to wait and see what the verdict is coming out of the festival. Until then, three new clips from the film have been posted on the film festival website.

“The Past” tells the story of an Iranian man, Ahmad, who returns to France to finalize a divorce procedure with his wife Marie (Bejo). His wife wants to finish going through with the divorce now that she has started a serious relationship with someone new. But, during his stay, he learns that this new relationship is causing a strain within the family, especially with daughter Lucie, and soon secrets from their past will start to unveil. A trailer for the film came out a few weeks ago and it looked really promising, the clips are definitely worth checking out as well.
