Watch: First Trailer For 'A Thousand Times Good Night' Starring Juliette Binoche & Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

A Thousand Times Goodnight

Juliette Binoche playing a war photographer? That’s probably anyone familiar with the actress needs to know about her upcoming “A Thousand Times Good Night,” even if the results are a bit middling. In her review out of the Marrkaech Film Festival in December, our Jessica Kiang wrote that the film has the “enervating effect of so many fertile issues introduced only to be muddied into confusion or simply abandoned.” But she also notes that Binoche herself is “particularly terrific.”

So what’s it all about? Featuring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and uh, U2 drummer Larry Mullen, the film chronicles the story of war photography trying to balance being a wife and mother, while also navigating some of the most dangerous regions in the world for her job. Again, potent material and we’re sure Binoche brings enough value to make this worth a spin regardless.

“A Thousand Times Good Night” opens in the UK and Ireland on May 2nd. Film Movement has the US rights, but no date has been set just yet. Watch the trailer below, and in case you’re wondering, the song in the spot is “Tornado” by Jonsi. [Live For Films]
