Watch: Full 50-Minute Episode Of 'The Director's Chair' With Robert Rodriguez And Sylvester Stallone

Robert Rodriguez And Sylvester StalloneAs the man behind "Rocky," "Rambo," and "The Expendables," it can be easy to dismiss the talents of Sylvester Stallone, given the simple, bruising physicality of much of his work. But it’s worth remembering that Stallone is two-time Oscar nominee (Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay for "Rocky") and has three franchises to his name. It’s the kind of success that comes from skill, not luck, and his story is pretty fascinating one.

Sitting down with Robert Rodriguez for "The Director’s Chair," he shares how it all began, the lessons he learned, and much more across the full episode, made available by El Rey network. And if you’re wondering what has sustained Stallone across his decades in the game, it’s his all or nothing approach that keeps him energized.

"I look at so many directors, many that you interview, like Bob Zemeckis and of course, Quentin [Tarantino], and I go, ‘Wow, this guy is really, really good. What do you bring to the table?’ I try to bring an intensity, I like setting a pace, a little aggressive. I throw everything into it and become very protective and committed to it. Everything I approach, I approach like it will be the last one," he explained.
