Fun fact: The acronym for "The House At The End Of The Street" if you cheat a little bit is HATES. And since we're still rubbing the sleep out of our eyes, that's what we're going to call it for the rest of this post.
In case you haven't heard, Jennifer Lawrence is now officially "a thing," not only as the lead in the box-office-smashing "The Hunger Games" but as the totally adorbz new star whose interviews in the forthcoming Rolling Stone and recently on "Late Show With David Letterman" (watch below) have been refreshing for being awkwardly endearing — it's just nice to see a young star unrehearsed and going out there as who she is, damn 'em all. All this to say that the actress has the horror flick HATES headed to the theaters this fall and MTV has the trailer.
Shot before the tween franchise, HATES co-stars Elisabeth Shue and Max Theriot and tells the story of a mother (Shue) and daughter (Lawrence) who move to a new town, only to discover their house was the place where a family was slaughtered, and a lone survivor, a young man (Theriot), still lives there. The two kids embark on a romance, but soon darker secrets come to the surface. Mark Tonderai (”Hush”) directs from a script by David Loucka (”Dream House”).
Anyway, give it a look below, but if you need to choose which vid to watch first, we'd go with Letterman. HATES opens on September 21st.
