Watch: Philip Seymour Hoffman Hunts A Shark In Trailer For Anton Corbijn's 'A Most Wanted Man'

A Most Wanted ManThe films of Anton Corbijn—well, the two he’s made thus far, "Control" and "The American"—are marked by a careful, calculating style where every frame and every shot counts in the building of a particular mood or tension. And much of that seems the same in his next, "A Most Wanted Man," with the first trailer dropping today.

Featuring one of the final performances from the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, along with Rachel McAdams, Willem Dafoe, Robin Wright and Daniel Brühl, the film is an adaptation of a John le Carré novel that follows a German spy, tracking down a half-Chechen, half-Russian immigrant suspected of being a Muslim terrorist. But the spy asks for more time, hoping to uncover something more sinister. Sound thrilling? Our man at Sundance wasn’t so taken, writing in his review, "Not as arty as ‘The American’ or ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy‘ or as soapy and quickly paced as its small screen counterparts, “A Most Wanted Man” is left somewhere in the middle."

See for yourself when "A Most Wanted Man" arrives on July 25th. Watch below.
