Watch: Roman Coppola & Jason Schwartzman Ponder the Least Romantic Valentine in Short Film Made on Vine

nullAmidst six-second snippets of blurry concert footage and showcases of your latest meal, the mobile app Vine has infected the film industry with a vengeance. The results have been severely mixed: Oscilloscope “released” their David Cross comedy “It’s A Disaster” on Vine last month as part of a promo stunt, Film District has been hankering for audiences’ quick (positive) opinion on “Olympus Has Fallen,” and “The Wolverineteased its first trailer via the new social media toy. Luckily, cousins Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola have managed to make something a bit more clever.

Fresh off promoting his latest Charlie Sheen-starring feature, “A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III,” Roman Coppola has struck quickly again with a brief, simple back-and-forth with Schwartzman. Premiering on Nowness, the clip is entitled “A Quick-Witted Love Letter From Indie Hollywood’s Favorite Cousins,” which pretty much suits the results as both men — with the help of “Shit Girls Say” creator Graydon Sheppard — muse on love and obsession via snappy cuts and quips.

The clip is fun, fast, and an interesting look at content as it aims toward a smaller attention span, so check out Schwartzman and Coppola pondering romantic or platonic love below. [via It’s Nice That
