Are you 9 years old? Then you're probably going to love "Men In Black III." Big, broad and goofy, Sony's latest installment in the alient hunting franchise has very clearly staked out it's claim as a family film event and for everyone else, this looks like it will be pretty damn tedious.
This brand new trailer serves up lots of new footage (though, still none of the villain Jemaine Clement) and plenty of plot. And given the number of writers this thing has gone through, there's no surprise that it's pretty convouted, involving Agent K being dead, time travel to 1969 and a 24 hour limit before Agent J is stuck back in time. And oh yeah, there is an alien invasion on the way too. But there are some small pleasures to be had. Josh Brolin continues to be the funniest thing in this, with his Tommy Lee Jones impression being spot on and deadpan funny. Also, we got a peek at Bill Hader as Andy Warhol and (spoiler) it turns out he's an agent for Men In Black as well. Also, Will Smith says "shiznit." How hip!
But really, this looks pretty dumb and silly overall which is probably great for the young folks that Sony hopes will turn this into a big hit. Guess we'll see how this all works out when "Men In Black III" lands on May 25th. Trailer and some new posters below. Oh, and two of the songs featured in the trailer are Combustible Edison's "The Millionaire's Holiday" and (duh), "All Along The Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix. [Yahoo/IMPA]
