Watch: New TV Spots & Alternate Trailers For ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ & ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’

Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

X-Men: Days Of Future Past” is nearly upon us. What goes on in this movie? Well, the future X-Men meet the past X-Men in hopes of changing the future and therefore rewriting history. What does that mean? Well, probably a chance to undo the continuity of the old “X-Men” movies so that anyone who has died in the past films – Jean Grey, etc. – can be made undead (and conveniently recast in newer films).

Did Patrick Stewart spoil a big part of ‘Days Of Future Past’ in a recent interview? Maybe (and duh, skip this if you don’t want to know anything). “That is one of the blessings about fantasy and science fiction,” he told MTV. “You’re never really dead. I would love to come back and do some more. There might be something else. A little bird has whispered that there might be something ‘X-Men’ related.” People are reading that as if Professor X dies in the movie (again, he already “died” in “X-Men: The Last Stand”) and then might come back in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Oy, all of this makes my head hurt. Retconning continuity really killed comics, so if they keep up with this shit and retcon continuity in movies – I don’t know that audiences are going to have the same patience that comic book fans did.

Meanwhile, in other genre worlds, Dimension Films has released a “new” trailer for “Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” (What, they couldn’t include Lee Daniels in the title somewhere?), but it’s essentially a cut-down version of the one that was already released. Regardless, if you wanna watch that, a new TV spot from ‘Days Of Future Past,’ and the Patrick Stewart interview with MTV, they are all below. The ‘Sin City’ sequel arrives on August 22nd (two new photos below), while ‘Days Of Future Past’ hits theaters May 23rd.
