‘How To Make A Killing’ Trailer: Glen Powell & Margaret Qualley’s Star In John Patton Ford’s New Heist Thriller

What would you do to secure an inheritance? Becket Redfellow is about to claim it all, no matter the cost. “How to Make a Killing” sees its central character disowned at birth. Now, an adult Redfellow is ready to battle his way back into the family. He’ll soon discover that finding solace in the familial lineage isn’t easy. ‘Killing’ hails from writer and director John Patton Ford. His previous work, “Emily the Criminal,” drew critical praise and attention after debuting during 2022’s Sundance Film Festival. Patton Ford’s upcoming dramedy is inspired by the Robert Hamer film “Kind Hearts and Coronets.” The 1949 project was based on the novel “Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal.”

Killing’ sees Glen Powell star as Redfellow. The popular actor has starred in an intriguing mix of projects. His most recent film, “The Running Man,” highlights Powell’s leading man status. He’s also starring on the Hulu sports comedy series “Chad Powers.” Powell’s co-stars for ‘Killing’ include Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Bill Camp, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, and Ed Harris. Qualley offered a standout performance in “The Substance.”  The Oscar-nominated film saw her character go through one of cinema’s most memorable and meaningful transformations. 

The film’s official synopsis:

“Disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, blue-collar Becket Redfellow (Glen Powell) will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way.”

A man fights for a large inheritance in A24 and StudioCanal’s “How to Make a Killing.” The film is set to release on February 20. Watch the new trailer below.
