'Love, Weddings & Other Disasters' Trailer: Diane Keaton, Jeremy Irons & An Ensemble Cast Fumble Through Relationships

How does romance survive in an increasingly chaotic world? The interconnected stories of  “Love, Weddings & Other Disasters” examine the question with differing results. Led by a star-studded lineup, the Dennis Dugan project uses a roadmap laid out by previous titles like the ubiquitous Christmas classic “Love Actually.” In the process, it packs in as many possibilities as it can during a short ninety-minute runtime.

Diane Keaton and Jeremy Irons prove to be highlights for the project. While many rom-coms steer away from older characters, it’s Dugan, who also serves as a writer on the film—who allows both free reign with their storylines. The duo is far from the only names worth watching out for. Maggie Grace gets to play a more substantial comedic role as someone in over their head when it comes to wedding planning. Grace herself has built quite the filmography spanning from the mysterious world of “Lost” to her current work on AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.” While those titles lean toward disparate genre work, viewers should be intrigued to see how Grace stands out among the more seasoned comedy veterans.

Maggie Grace (“Taken”) and Oscar® winners Diane Keaton and Jeremy Irons lead this warmhearted romantic comedy. With a couple’s impending wedding as the backdrop, “Love, Weddings & Other Disasters” weaves multiple storylines as it follows the search for love by a colorful group of characters, including an inexperienced wedding planner (Grace) nicknamed “The Wedding Trasher”; a  fussy celebrity caterer (Irons); his blind date (Keaton); and a tour-bus guide (Andrew Bachelor) looking for his Cinderella. How their lives and loves intersect is half the fun in this film that proves romance is alive and well… and as crazy as ever!
