FX has released the trailer and a teaser for the fifth and final season of “The Bear,” and it sounds like Carmy may have finally walked away from the kitchen for good.
The final season picks up the morning after Sydney Adamu, Richie Jerimovich, and Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto discover that Head Chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto has quit the food industry, leaving the restaurant in their hands. With no money, the threat of a sale looming, and a torrential storm closing in, the new partners must pull the team together for one last service, still hoping to earn a Michelin star before it is too late.
According to FX, the last run ultimately centers on the question of what makes a restaurant “perfect,” with the answer possibly having less to do with food than with the people trying to keep the place alive.
The half-hour series stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson, with Ricky Staffieri, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter, and Jamie Lee Curtis in recurring roles.
“The Bear” was created by Christopher Storer, who executive produces alongside Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai, and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer serves as culinary producer. The series is produced by FX Productions and streams internationally on Hulu and Disney+.
“The Bear” returns for its fifth and final season June 25 on Hulu. Watch the teaser below.
