Sundance 2026 came and went a while ago, and now films that debuted at the festival, like Olivia Wilde‘s “The Invite” and Gregg Araki‘s “I Want Your Sex” are about to hit theaters. But don’t let two big names like those overshadow another Sundance premiere that hits theaters very soon, and could end up a sleeper hit this summer. The movie in question? Georgia Bernstein‘s “Night Nurse,” a debut firmly for the sickos that set for a theatrical release in early July.

Cemre Paksoy stars in “Night Nurse” as a young woman whose new job in a retirement community leads her to ethically dubious, increasingly perverse behaviors that blur the lines of her profession.
Here’s an official synopsis for “Night Nurse,” courtesy of IFC Films:
At the start of her new job in a luxury retirement community, Eleni (Cemre Paksoy) is drawn into a series of scam calls targeting the elderly residents, a pull she can’t quite name or resist. As the community’s strange rhythms close around her, she grows increasingly intimate with her elusive patient, Douglas (Bruce McKenzie), until the line blurs between care and desire, devotion and delusion.
Along with Paksoy, “Night Nurse” also stars Bruce McKenzie, Eléonore Hendricks, Colleen Rose Trundy, and Mimi Rogers.
Bernstein writes and directs “Night Nurse,” her feature debut. She also produces the film with Edwin Linker, Liane Cunje, Veronica Barbosa, and Lucy Rogers. Executive producers inclue Eddie Linker, Eric Ashworth, Stephen Lanus, and Amar Gupta.
“Night Nurse” hits theaters everywhere on July 10. Watch a trailer for the thriller below.
