Michael Cera Says There's Not Much Need For An 'Arrested Development' Movie

Everyone wants an “Arrested Development” movie, right? Surely, Jason Bateman does as he talks about it non-stop anytime he’s doing press. Not all the cast members are about it. David Cross has already once sounded pretty skeptical about the project and now Michael Cera is basically saying leave it alone already. Speaking to the National Post in Canada, the Canuck actor said:

“I don’t think I would want to see a movie of the series if I was a fan, anyway,” Cera says. “And I don’t really see a need for it if you can get the three seasons on DVD.”

The Post says he’s never heard of the project, but that’s retarded and dead wrong as Cera was asked about the film project back in March and he didn’t really know much about it back then. “[Jason Bateman] would probably know more about it than I would,” he said. We’re starting to become convinced this isn’t going to be the best idea either and they should just leave it be.
