“John C. Reilly called me up and asked if I would do it. I said, “Okay, but what year is it supposed to be?” He said 1957, so that was okay. I thought it was just going to be for cable or something. He sent the script over and it was really funny. It was from the guys who did the “The 40 Year Old Virgin” and “Anchorman.” It’s a parody of musical biopics and Reilly plays this made-up character who goes through these different periods and at one point he plays on a bill with Elvis Presley. And that’s me.” – Jack White explains the difficulties of landing film roles in Hollywood to Pitchfork. He will star in next year’s Apatow mockuopic, “Walk Hard.” There’s some video of a similar conversation at MTV.

Well, you’re an idiot then. ’Cause those albums are amazing.” – Patton Oswalt on the concept of selling out to the NY Times. The comedian is the unlikely star of the new Pixar movie, “Ratatouille.”
“I want choices, I want options. I want to lay out all the directions I could go and have the ability to choose. I’m slowly starting to have that now.”- Jessica Biel slowly earned acting clout by securing a role in “The Illusionist”; a role she only scored because another actress dropped out. Trying to change the producers minds, she arrived at the audition in full period costume.
