The Cure will begin working on a career-spanning documentary that will showcase Robert Smith ever-expanding and prosperous waistline, plus the yearly increasing embarrassment of aging and still dressing like a 14-year-old emo kid. One of our favorite foreign directors, Bosnian/Serb filmmaker,”Emir Kusturica (“Underground,” “Black Cat, White Cat“) is making a documentary about once legendary, now bloated and coked-up disgraced Argentinian soccer player Diego Maradona. Argentinian folk singer Manu Chao will appear in the film and contribute songs to the to the movie, as will longtime Kusturica musical contributors, Yugoslav-era’d rock band The Smoking Orchestra.
