Another day, another Marvel success. The Kevin Feige train keeps rolling and very few mistakes aside, the Marvel domination continues. This time its “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” the first post “Avengers: Endgame” film and while we won’t post spoilers in case you haven’t seen the trailers, the Spidey movie deals with all the ramifications of that film.

Early reactions from the film, again, directed by “Spider-Man: Homecoming” filmmaker Jon Watts, are in and they are glowing. Critics are praising the film for its heart, its sense of humor, its warmth and for the way it tackles the post-Endgame world, all those that have returned after Thanos’ Snappening in “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Critics are also giving tons of praise to Jake Gyllenhaal who plays the character Mysterio in the film, a character seemingly connected to S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury and Maria Hill according to the trailers.

Jake Gyllenhaal is indeed terrific as the character Mysterio and the movie’s trailers are just the tip of the iceberg for what’s in store for the movie.
“Spider-Man: Far From Home” stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, and Jake Gyllenhaal. The official logline: Peter Parker is recruited by Nick Fury and Mysterio to face elemental threats from another dimension while he is on a school trip to Europe.
Written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Jon Watts, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is right around the corner and swings into theaters next week on July 2. First social reactions from critics who got an early look at the film, myself included, below. Plus, watch two new clips from the film.

#SpiderManFarFromHome: far superior to its predecessor & really delightful, w/a terrific theme of trust well-threaded throughout. Could say more, but it's spoiler-laden, full of fun secrets, so be careful who you follow and what they say. Jake G is great #SpiderMan #FarFromHome

#SpiderManFarFromHome is funny, exciting, romantic, goofy & follows HOMECOMING in being this brilliant ground-level look at Spidey's world & how the events of #AvengersEndgame impacted everyday life. Lots of twists & turns, plus some adorable summer romances, too. I'm a big fan pic.twitter.com/NUX0f8YFM0

#SpiderManFarFromHome is the coda we needed after Endgame, a glimpse of how the world looks now that the dust has settled. Could maybe have gone a bit harder on P's emotional arc, but bursting with warmth and humor and awkward teen romance. ???? Also: Jake G = perfect casting.

Spider-Man: Far from Home is an extremely fun, cleverly executed, and frequently hilarious culmination of the MCU’s wall-crawler’s journey so far. Some very sweet moments, sly commentary and deft action set-pieces throughout #SpiderManFarFromHome pic.twitter.com/5sAmxh4E3p

Spider-Man: Far From Home made me smile from start to finish. Its got huge reveals and exciting set pieces but the way it builds off Endgame to to dive deeper into Peter’s emotions is really what make it soar. Mysterio also rules. I can’t wait to see it again. pic.twitter.com/FvP3B53MOX

#SpiderManFarFromHome: B-/C+. If you loved the teen-centric stuff in Homecoming, there's more where that came from. Some of the comedy falls flat, but this film has A LOT going on – ultimately beneficial because it mostly distracts from stuff that doesn't land quite as well. pic.twitter.com/1wVMyT5bv9

Didn’t LOVE #SpiderManFarFromHome as much as Homecoming but it’s still a rad take on bearing the weight of great expectations and a fun ode to teen romance. Tom Holland continues to be amazing, Zendaya’s MJ is just as cool as Shuri and Jake G’s an inspired choice for Mysterio. pic.twitter.com/nnu7BPjcFO

#SpiderManFarFromHome! What a fun, solid sequel. Tom Holland so incredibly charming, will watch him in any/all things. Jake Gyllenhaal gets way more to do than expected, clearly had a ball doing it. Also still loving Zendaya's MJ.

Absolutely loved SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME. I’m a huge Mysterio fan and Gyllenhaal nails him. Also the movie is very clever (and funny) how it handles the fallout post ENDGAME in explaining how this world works now.

#SpiderManFarFromHome Reaction:
It's good news! FFH does a terrific job of balancing Avengers: Endgame fallout with a seriously fun & inventive Spidey adventure. #TomHolland continues to be a perfect Spider-Man, and his chemistry with #Zendaya is *adorable*.
