What’s one of the most anticipated film of 2021? French filmmaker Julia Ducournau‘s “Titane,” the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed horror film “Raw.” Starring Agathe Rousselle and Vincent Lindon, the movie is a thriller about a long-lost child who returns suddenly, but what seems to be the end of a long nightmare soon turns into something else.

The film is also set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival. Neon is releasing the picture and has only released a super vague synopsis:

However, Cineuropa revealed more “Titane” details last year.
“Written by the director, the script opens on an airport where custom inspectors pick up a young man with a bruised face. He claims his name to be Adrien Legrand, a child who disappeared ten years ago. For Vincent, his father, this marks the end of a long nightmare, and he brings him home. Simultaneously, a series of gruesome murders places the region under pressure. Alexia, model in a car showroom, has all the characteristics of the ideal victim…”

Dominique Frot, Myriem Akheddiou and Rahim-Silvioli Mehdi round out the cast. Producers on the picture are Jean-Christophe Reymond, Jean Yves Rubin, Cssandre Warnauts, Oliver Père, Philippe Logie, Anne-Laure Declerck, Christophe Hollebek, the cinematographer is Ruben Impens, and on editing duties is Jean-Christophe Bouzy. “Titane” will make its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival that begins in July.
