Kevin Smith’s new movie finally appears to have a title — after TV networks refused to show ads for the original title, “A Couple of Dicks.”
The director has compromised with the studio and come up with the new version, “Cop Out.”
The meta-nature of the title’s kind of amusing, which is more than we can expect from the film itself, to be honest.
A trailer looks set to debut with the Christmas Day release of “Sherlock Holmes,” along with, possibly, a new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s “Inception.”
“Cop Out” opens February 26, 2010.
