“Shampoo is bettah, no condishiono is bettah!” (that’s a retarded line from “Billy Madison,” btw).
That kind of juvenile logic seems to be the tact both Warner Bros. and 20th Centur Fox are taking in their “Watchmen” lawsuit battle.
Legal motions are still ongoing. Check out this tidbit from the NYTimes.
“In a particularly hot exchange, lawyers for Warner Brothers filed paperwork opposing Fox’s attempt to block evidence that would show that Fox is an ‘underperforming’ studio or that Warner is ‘better.’ “
Man, it’s like playground time. Assertions by a Fox executive, in a deposition, say that his studio is “unique” and “the very best in the business.” Next thing you know and lawyers are going to start pulling each others hair and calling each other sissies. Who cares, who the better studio is, the legality is all that matters. You think if the interweb voted on who was “better” that would make a difference to who was in the legal right about the copyright infringement?
My dad is gonna beat your dad up! [NYTimes]
