'Watchmen,' The Long-Ass Cut Coming To Theaters In July

Remember how fans rejoiced yesterday when Zack Snyder revealed that a longer, 3 hours 25 minutes, ‘Tales of the Black Freighter’-friendly cut of “Watchmen” would be available on DVD?

Well a slightly shorter, but longer than the March 6 theatrical release is coming out in the summer. “The director’s cut is three hours and 10 minutes and comes out in July,” Snyder said, though MTV puts the caveat that “if it does well,” and only mentions New York and L.A. Let the whooping and high-five-ing commence for fanboys in them towns. What we want to know is: Does Snyder have nude photos of Warner Bros. execs or something? The studio has totally bent over for the dude. [MTV]
