Ok, so Richard Dreyfuss may have signed on for Oliver Stone’s “W” to play Vice President Dick Cheney, but now it seems the actor is doing his own form of political backpedaling. Dreyfuss was on the soccer-mom talk show, “The View,” and basically disavowed the film. He says he took the role for “money,” calls the picture, “6 tenths of a good film,” and says of the director’s dogmatic ways, “you can be a fascist and still be for the left.” Ha. Maybe Dreyfuss went to go see the film and like us, he shrugged and thought, “hmm, that wasn’t very good.” [via Hollywood Elsewhere]
