Dirty 'Choke' Trailer Not So Safe For Work

Note: this trailer shows breastesses, simulated handjobs, language and other things not quite safe for work. Looks like Fox Searchlight is really trying to appeal to the film’s younger male demo with its filthy and vulgar aspects.

The tagline is afterall: “If this movie doesn’t touch you, go ahead and touch yourself.”

The adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s “Choke” starring Sam Rockwell as a Colonial Williamsburg theme park historical reenactor who’s also a depraved unconscionable sex-addict and feigning choking victim, comes out September 26 release date. It’s being touted as a “dirty-minded satirical-psychotic comedy,” and the film, directed by actor Clark Gregg, also stars Kelly Macdonald (“No Country For Old Men”), Anjelica Huston and Brad Henke as Rockwell’s bumbling sidekick buddy (plus Bijou Phillips pictured above). We saw it a month ago at BAM’s Sundance Week, but we haven’t really had time to spit out a proper review yet. It’s funny, twisted and ribald, but it’s not without its flaws. We’ll spit out a review eventually or closer to the film’s release.

Official Synopsis: Actor turned director Clark Gregg shows he is as adept behind the camera as he is in front of it with CHOKE, a wickedly colorful dark comedy about mothers and sons, sexual compulsion, and the sordid underbelly of Colonial theme parks. Victor Mancini (Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, who keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Huston), in an expensive private medical hospital by working days as a historical reenactor at a Colonial Williamsburg theme park. At night Victor runs a scam by deliberately choking in upscale restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy patrons who “save” him. When, in a rare lucid movement, Ida reveals that she has withheld the shocking truth of his father’s identity, Victor enlists the aid of his best friend, Denny (Henke) and his mother’s beautiful attending physician, Dr. Paige Marshall (Macdonald), to solve the mystery before the truth of his possibly divine parentage is lost forever.

Fox is asking us to pull the trailer, so we’re going to comply. You can see here ChokeOnThis.net.
