Emily Browning Fills Female Gap In Zack Snyder's 'Sucker Punch'

Amanda Seyfried may have had to drop out of Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch,” an all-girl, “Alice In Wonderland”/meet Women-In-Prison (WIP) picture, but he’s already found a new alternate: Emily Browning from “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” and “The Uninvited.”

The film is about an institutionalized girl (now the Browning role) who is about to be lobotomized in an insane asylum, but creates an imaginary world where she escapes to with her fellow inmates that include Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Emma Stone, and Evan Rachel Wood.

Meanwhile, Snyder told Collider he definitely wants the film to be R-Rated, and hopes to shoot this fall with an eye for a 2011 release date. Anything even remotely less laughable than “Watchmen” will be appreciated at this point.
